CANINE FITNESS

This is not another basic obedience or manners class! At Two Left Feet, we offer a whole different type of training that will help your dog avoid (or recover from) injury, increase confidence, offer mental enrichment and help you understand your best friend on a new level.

WHAT IS CANINE FITNESS?

Let’s start with what it’s not.

It’s not agility or flyball; it’s not testing how fast your dog can run after a lure; it’s not endless games of fetch in an open field.

But it will help your amazing pup keep doing the activities they love for years to come! Contact Two Left Feet to find out more.

Our Services

  • Get a taste of canine fitness with a 90 minute class. You'll run through a basic circuit and leave with a tired pup.

  • Multi-week classes where we dive deeper into proper form, handling, exercise modifications and equipment.

  • Work directly with a trainer to create workout plans specifically designed based on your dog's physical and mental needs.

Meet Two Left Feet Founder
Jenna Saint Louis

I’ve been involved in human fitness - either as an instructor or a practitioner - for 35 years. Despite my experience helping people move better, I’d never stopped to think about fitness in the dog world until our 6 month old pitbull, Ca$h, couldn’t walk around the block without being carried. It didn’t take a specialist to realize that things weren’t quite right.

So, under the guidance of our vet, we starting working through new exercises together. While Ca$h gained strength and movement, I also saw his confidence grow and, together, we developed a love for our training sessions: He gets cookies and I get to spend quality time with my handsome man!

And, despite now-confirmed elbow and hip dysplasias, blown ACLs and arthritis in many of his joints, Ca$h moves as well as most other dogs out there .. and I attribute that entirely to our fitness work.

All of this lead me to pursue my certification as a Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC) through NC State Veterinary College. I love helping people discover the physical, mental and emotional benefits that canine fitness training has to offer for every dog, at every level.

I look forward to sharing my passion for Canine Fitness with you and your pup and, hopefully, inspiring you to add it to your daily life.
