Is Canine fitness right for my dog?

The short answer is … probably. Almost definitely.

  • Classes at Two Left Feet will expose your pup to multiple surfaces and experiences; it can also help him/her 'learn how to learn' and build their confidence. We keep sessions short and rep counts low to protect their developing joints and keep their minds interested.

  • Canine fitness is great for the adolescent and adult dog! Circuits developed by Two Left feet will help your pup strengthen key stabilizing muscles, improve balance and help ward of injuries. It also helps speed up rehab should injury occur!

  • If your pooch isn't moving quite like s/he used to, we'll help maintain balance and rear end strength - two important pieces in keeping your best friend living their best life for as long as possible!

Question 2

What is your dogs favorite thing to do?

  • City dogs pretty much walk in straight lines on concrete - Two Left Feet can help correct muscle imbalances and manage the 'wear and tear' that occur from doing the same motion on hard pavement over and over again.

  • Adventures in the outdoors are full of twists and turns - both in the terrain and our dogs' bodies.

Canine fitness strengthens those important stabilizing muscles and 'teaches' them how to kick into action to protect joints on uneven surfaces.

  • Most dogs playing fetch go from a stand-still to top speeds in a blink of an eye.

Explosive movements like that are tough on a dog's body - our workouts help keep cold joints protected and give you some strategies to help warm up before starting!

  • We get it - some dogs take their role as couch potato very seriously. We'll design low-impact, low-stress workouts that only take 10 minutes, 3 times a week to see results! We're sure he can fit that into his tiresome schedule.

  • Agility dogs are in that group that most people view as 'athletes' in the dog world - but any good athlete will tell you that cross-training is pivotal for staying healthy. Two Left Feet fitness routines can be designed specifically for the quick steps, jumps and sprinting required for the sport.

  • The box-turn. Need we say more? Not only can our classes help improve 'explosiveness' off the box, but it can help correct muscle and tension imbalances and protect the body from the impact that occurs prior to take off.

Question 3

How often does your dog workout?

  • Good for you! But are you making sure your dog is moving in all directions? Adding some canine fitness into your daily training schedule can help you mix up your routine and keep your dog happy and engaged.

  • We understand - finding time to exercise your pup is hard during the week so you try to jam seven days of activity into two. But canine fitness can provide a full body workout in 10 minutes, 3x a week - and will keep your dog healthy enough to keep adventuring with you on the weekends.

  • We love respecting our dog's preferred activity level - but sometimes we have to give them a little nudge. Inactivity can lead to all kinds of health problems down the road - we'll help you work through quick, "easy" workouts that you can do right next to his favorite bed so he can get back to napping once you're done!
