No Space? No Problem.

The internet is a lie. We all know it. If you look up people doing exercise circuits with their dogs, you’ll see trainers in pristine rooms with rubber matted flooring and perfect storage for all of their equipment.

But is that real life?

For most people, training has to be accessible and straightforward - and that includes the space where you work with your dog.

When I started canine fitness years ago, I renovated our basement so that I would have all the room in the world to workout with Ca$h - and then, it turned out, walking the 10 feet to our living room where I was still in ear shot of my work phone and computer, was far more realistic than hoofing it down to the basement (and convincing Ca$h that it would be worth his while to follow).

If you and your dog can walk in a circle together - I guarantee you, it’s a big enough space to do a fitness circuit. Are there benefits to a large space where you don’t have to swap out equipment for every exercise? Sure. But, for me, the setup and teardown is still a whole lot easier than … steps.
